ASHI Cold Finger & Camera Assembly

The ASHI Camera and Computer boards have been mounted onto a 3-D printed aluminum cold finger to maintain an operable temperature during the ballon flight. Seen on the far left is the empty cold finger, then in the following image mounted are the computer board, camera boards, and camera head. To the middle right, the cold finger has been turned upside down with its fan that expels air placed above a set of input vents that circulate air through the cold finger to cool the computer while the system remains on the ground. The CMOS Detector positioned atop the cold finger, requires temperatures to be maintained below -5C with the camera turned on in the Lab or at altitude.
